About Kurt Wenner

Kurt Wenner Kurt Wenner is one of the world's leading artists. His expertise, innovation, and artistry have led to his work being sold in more than 30 countries.

Kurt grew up in Santa Barbara, California, and attended both Rhode Island School of Design and Art Center in Pasadena. He was recruited to work for NASA while studying at Art Center. Eventually, he left NASA and moved to Europe to study the great works of art. Through his discoveries, he became fascinated with the materials artists of the past used and unearthed their lost techniques for geometry and proportion.

Inspired by his studies in Italy, Kurt's body of work grew to include large-scale oil paintings, ceramic murals, sculptures, illusion rooms, pastels, 3D illusion, and architectural design. Although much of his work is found in private homes and corporate art collections, there are several places to see his work. His most recent public commission is at the Legacy Center in San Diego, with 23 murals and paintings.

In 1991, Kurt received the Kennedy Center Medallion for his outstanding contribution to art education. Also, his dedication to bringing the tools of classicism back into the mainstream through his invention of interactive 3D art has become a global phenomenon.

While Kurt works across many mediums and subjects, sacred art remains closest to his heart. We have launched this special gallery to share his work with you.

Kurt rarely exhibits his work. He sells originals directly and accepts commissions. Please email him to enquire about a particular work or a commission: info@kurtwenner.com
