Posthumously, he has been referred to by some Catholics as "St. John Paul the Great".I was fortunate to be commissioned for a large work of art and met Pope John Paul II in Italy. His presences was extraordinary and I wanted to created a devotional image of this truly remarkable Pope. www.kurtwenner.com
