Artist's Description
This image of Christ was inspired by the mosaic called Christ Deesis, in the Hagia Sophia church located in Istanbul, Turkey. I created the painting on a very rough surface to recall the texture of the mosaic.

Kurt Wenner is an artist, inventor, and educator in the art-ed space.
